Notes and Tips
- This pattern is written using US crochet terms
- The number in (parentheses) at the end of each row is the stitch count after finishing that row
- Italicized notes tell you what to change to adjust the size
- The chain 2 at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a double crochet
- The slip stitch at the end of each round goes into the first stitch of that round
- The first stitch of every new round goes into the same stitch we slip stitched to in the previous round
Crochet Pouch Pattern
Pouch
Foundation: Make a slipknot, ch3

Round 1: dc12 in 3rd ch from hook, sl st (12)

Round 2: ch2, inc around, sl st (24)

Round 3: ch2, rep[dc, inc] around, sl st (36)

Note: For a bigger pouch, continue increasing the size of the circle by adding rounds with another dc before the inc. For example, Round 4: ch2, rep[dc in next 2 st, inc] around, sl st (48) and Round 5: ch2, rep[dc in next 3 st, inc] around, sl st (60).
Rounds 4-12: ch2, dc around, sl st (36)
Note: Do fewer rounds for a shorter pouch or more rounds for a longer pouch.
Fasten off.

Weave in your loose ends before adding in the drawstring.
Drawstring
Make a slipknot, ch50, fasten off, making sure one of the loose ends is at least 5 centimeters (2 inches) long
Note: Do fewer chains for a shorter drawstring or more chains for a longer drawstring. It shoud be about twice the width of your pouch, plus a couple inches.

Inserting Drawstring
Fold the pouch along the slip stitch seam.

Thread the loose end on your drawstring into your yarn needle. Starting in the middle, thread the drawstring under and over every 2 stitches in Round 10 (3rd round from the top).

Trim tails to the same length.

And your crochet pouch is finished!
