Notes and Tips
- This pattern is written using US crochet terms

- Italicized notes tell you what to change to adjust the size
- The chain 1 at the beginning of each row does NOT count as a half double crochet
Crochet Wrist Warmers Pattern
Foundation: Make a slipknot with a 10″ (25cm) long tail, ch24
Note: Your number of chains will determine how far up your wrist your wrist warmers will be. Do fewer chains for shorter wrist warmers, or do more chains for longer wrist warmers.

Row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and across (23)

Because of my tension, adding the first row to the foundation chain shrunk the length down considerably. Check to make sure that it is still your desired length.

Rows 2-14: ch1, turn, hdc blo across (23)
Note: Do fewer rows for a smaller size hand, or more rows for a larger size hand. Do an even number of rows.

Your rows should be able to wrap almost all the way around your fingers (excluding your thumb). It should be able to stretch the rest of the way.

Fasten off with a 10″ (25cm) long loose end.
Note: If you’re making a longer wrist warmer, you’ll need a longer loose end. To estimate it, multiply your desired length under the thumbhole by 2, then add 4″ (10cm).
Sewing Above Thumbhole
First, we’ll sew the length above the thumbhole, which is the length from the base of your four fingers to the base of your thumb.

Fold your rectangle in half, with the shorter of the two tails on the right side. Use that tail to sew together the first 6 stitches of the first row and last row.
Note: Sew fewer stitches for a shorter length above the thumbhole, or sew more stitches for a longer length above the thumbhole.

Try it on to make sure it fits!

Tie a double knot to secure it.
Sewing Under Thumbhole
Next, we’re going the sew the length under the thumbhole, which is the length from the bottom of your thumb to wherever you want it to end on your wrist.

Flip it over, so that the other tail end is now on the right side.

Using the tail that is now on the right side, sew together the first 12 stitches of the first row and last row, leaving a 5 stitch gap in the middle.
Note: Sew fewer stitches for a shorter length under the thumbhole, or sew more stitches for a longer length under the thumbhole.

Try it on! If it fits well, tie a double knot to secure the tail. Then, weave in your loose ends and make an identical, second one.
And your crochet wrist warmers is finished!
