Notes and Tips
- This pattern is written using US crochet terms

- The chain 2 at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a double crochet
Crochet Basic Hairband Pattern
First Strap: Make a slipknot, ch45+2
Tip: Tighten your 45th chain to minimize the hole from Row 1.
Note: Do fewer chains in your foundation for a shorter strap or do more chains for a longer strap. This will be the length from your ear to the nape of your neck, plus the length needed to tie a knot.

Row 1: dc3 in 3rd ch from hook (3)

Row 2: ch2, turn, dc2 in first st, dc in next st, dc2 in last st (5)

Row 3: ch2, turn, dc2 in first st, dc in next 3 st, dc2 in last st (7)

Rows 4-26: ch2, turn, dc across (7)

Row 27: ch2, turn, sk1, dc in next 4 st, dc2tog (5)

Row 28: ch2, turn, sk1, dc in next st, dc2tog (3)

Row 29: ch2, turn, sk1, dc2tog (1)

Second Strap: ch45, fasten off with short tail
Note: If you did a different number of chains in the beginning, chain that same number instead of 45.

Trim both tails to about an inch long and your crochet hairband is finished!

Just wanted to let you know that in Row 27 you put “dc in the next 3 st,” but your video says to do it in the next 4.
I edited it; thank you!!
I love this pattern
I just made this with a multicolored yarn I had on hand (Cream, light green, 2 shades of blue, and 2 shades of purple) and it turned out stripey! It looks so pretty! I’ve made the mesh one before, and I made this in blue during the summer, so I had to make it again!
Leave a comment…Pleas can you teach me how you do the bag
